On assignment on Lake of The Woods, Sioux Narrows, Canada
Robert Delahanty
Rob’s passion for photography was sparked at a young age while watching the movie E.T. — He knew then that he wanted to be the man behind the camera. After years of hard work and saving, he purchased his first still camera, and that was all it took to set him on his path.
In his senior year of high school, Rob excelled in photography and went on to attend the Rochester Institute of Technology, earning a BFA in Photography in 1992.
Just two weeks after graduation, he moved to New York City and began assisting some of the biggest names in fashion photography. By 1996, Rob struck out on his own and quickly established himself as a photographer both in the U.S. and abroad.
At the start of the new millennium, his interest shifted toward photojournalism. This direction felt natural and led to some of his most rewarding advertising and editorial collaborations to date.
Today, Rob resides in the High Desert of New Mexico, where his passion for photography and film continues to thrive. His work is dedicated to documenting people in their natural environments—a pursuit that remains both his career and his joy.
