Every year The Volunteers of America, Mens Residential Center throw a summer block party mid-August. For the last 6 years they've asked me to photograph it. So many beautiful faces and possibilities of hope. Very Grateful for this opportunity on many levels.

My friends had asked me again to move their van. This time from Missoula, MT to Portland, OR. I traveled along beautiful route 12 fished, swam, and met many many people. I documented much of it.

Sometimes when I process images an accident happens, a "ghost in the machine" if you will. The result are these abstracts. Sometimes truly beautiful and completely out of my control. I call them noise or color noise.
